Here’s an up close and personal but very unique little green alien minifig from the Pixar Toy Story and LEGO sets, launched for promotion of the new Toy Story 3 Disney movie coming out in June 2010. The suit is strangely familiar, perhaps as seen in the LEGO Astro Dasher set, but with green hands and of course the three-eyed alien head. These adorable three-eyed green alien creatures were first scene in the toy vending machine and have lemming-like personalities: single herd mentality and followers of the the first flashy character they spot. Unfortunately, the little green alien minifig won’t play too nicely with the rest of your set, if you’re lucky enough to have the Woody and Buzz Lightyear Lego minifigs, for example, because they are unfortunately not to scale. These were smaller aliens that should have fit in Andy’s hand, but when done as a LEGO minifig, is exactly the same height as a Buzz Lightyear minifig! An unfortunate but perhaps unavoidable oversight, the little green men LEGO minifig is still definitely a toy collector’s dream.
