Lego Excite Bike Nintendo Game Scene

A true classic simple yet fun Nintendo game from back in the day was Excite Bike. Excite Bike was a fun game with intricate courses, oil slicks, trick jumps, dangerous motorcycle falls, and blood pumping cheering from the audience. Lego Excite Bike nails that down perfectly. The Legos seem to be captured in perfect action, and the flash almost seems to make it look like it was shot by a Lego spectator viewing from the otherwise. It’s that great a shot. Of course the odd assortment of Lego minifigs in the back of this Excite Bike scene are somewhat random, but they add color and capture the excitement needed in the scene. We’re all familiar with falling when our jumps don’t land down, and you can clearly see the green Lego minifig scurrying back onto his green bike while his red Lego opponent prepares to hop the next hill. Also note the oil slick in the middle of track, let’s not forget those lovable hazards! Score a big win for this Lego Excite Bike trip down memory lane.

Lego Duck Hunt and Dog (NES Classic)

One of the very first games to be shipped with the very first Nintendo gaming console ever back in the 80s was the Mario Bros/Duck Hunt combo game. This classic NES game provided a great demo of the light gun, advanced technology back in the day. The Lego Duck Hunt rendition captures perfectly the pixelated allure and goodness of the Duck Hunt game original, complete with flying different colored ducks and of course the laughing dog that everyone loved to hate. The actual Lego scene isn’t actually accurate, as it is impossible to see the dog and a flying duck at the same time, plus have three bullets left as well, and only one duck left to shoot. But looking aside all of that, this Lego Duck Hunt recreation from NES’s first games ever just puts a smile on your face. Too bad there is no score in the corner, I’d score this Lego scene 500 points.

Micro Lego Nintendo Entertainment System NES

This micro Lego is so simple yet so brilliant at the same time. It accurately depicts the faithful 8-bit gaming system in Lego form, complete with ridges and anatomically correct lines that compose the unit. Also note the thoughtful little controller, though it doesn’t look like the original. But that’s not this Lego creator’s fault, Lego should have just made their own NES Lego set so fans wouldn’t have to make their own. Then again if they did, we may never see a Lego Nintendo as brilliant as this one either.

Lego StarCraft Terran Marines

Another Lego StarCraft creation in the same vein as the Terran battlecruiser, this Lego Terran marine squad poses with their guns. Their helmets are very much reminiscent of the video game equivalent, down to the shape and the mysterious allure of not being able to see their faces behind the helmets. Take a close look at these Lego “minifigs” and you’ll realize that they exactly are not that! In fact, this is a custom made minifig out of Lego blocks. It is very well done to capture all the great detail and includes joint pieces and even hands similar to those of minifigs. Fully opposable and looks like it crawled out of the StarCraft PC game. Very well done indeed. These marines look ready to hunt down some Lego mutalisks.

Lego StarCraft Mutalisk Zerg Custom Creation

A quick strategy that can catch StarCraft players off guard is to go early air units, and if you are playing Zerg, the mutalisk is the way to go. These Lego StarCraft mutalisks from the Zerg brood are lethal against units that cannot defend against the air, and in the early game, it is even more potent. The Lego mutalisks shown here have evil tusks and scaly spines, yet they almost seem friendly like a pet. Perhaps it’s because of the lack of detail in these creations. It’s really quite a simple custom Lego, though it is really quite realistic. The creator probably based the entire scale off those red wings, which coincidentally are featured in another artist’s Lego Castlevania scene. Despite their cuddly appearance, these Lego mutalisks are menacing enough in the Lego StarCraft world and look ready to take on even the Lego Battlecruiser.
